Kitchener Rangers News Release

The Rangers headed north to face the Owen Sound Attack for the first time this season, looking to bounce back from a tough loss to the Flint Firebirds the night before.

Owen Sound got on the board early in the period, with Colby Barlow making it 1-0. Midway through the frame, Jackson Parsons was able to make two big saves to help keep the game close. Mike Petizian got the Rangers on the board, scoring his seventh goal of the season to tie the game 1-1.

The Rangers started the second period short-handed but managed to successfully kill it off. Owen Sound would quickly strike back-to-back, which gave them a 3-1 lead. The Rangers had a few chances on the powerplay yet were unable to capitalize on those chances. The score would remain 3-1 heading into the second intermission.

Owen Sound's Stepan Machacek would score in the third period to make the game 4-1, that being the final.

Our next game is on Friday, Nov 12. at 7:30 p.m. against Owen Sound. This will be our Special Olympics Ontario game.
