Saginaw, MI - Coming off of a comeback victory Friday night, the Saginaw Spirit will aim to sweep its home-and-home series with the Sarnia Sting Saturday night at The Dow Event Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tonight's game features the 14th annual First Responders Night with a charity game between local police and firefighters taking place at 4:00 p.m.

The Spirit earned a thrilling 7-4 comeback victory Friday in Sarnia. The Sting held 3-0 and 4-2 leads in the game, but Saginaw would not quit. Their five-goal third period shot them ahead of the Sting and propelled them to their third victory away from home, and fifth win of the season.

Buffalo Sabres prospect Josh Bloom led the way for Saginaw with his first career multi-goal game and first career hat trick. He finished the game with four points. Calumet, Michigan's Dean Loukus notched his second, three-point contest of the year, potting a goal and two assists. 2021 first round pick Luke McNamara scored the game-winning goal for his second goal of the season. New York Islanders prospect Tristan Lennox returned to the net for Saginaw and made 17 saves in the winning effort.

The Sting's goals were scored by Alex Geci (1), Nolan Burke (7), Nolan Dann (2), and Theo Hill (3). San Jose Sharks prospect Ben Gaudreau made 31 saves, but surrendered a season-high six goals against for the Sting. After scoring six goals in his first five games, Nolan Burke got back on the scoresheet last night for his team-leading, seventh goal of the season. Burke had been held without a point in the previous two Sarnia contests.

With the Spirit's win last night, they have now set a new mark for the longest winning streak in franchise history against Sarnia. Saginaw has won the last nine head-to-head meetings dating back to the 2018-19 season.

Overall, this will be the 111th all-time regular season meeting between Saginaw and Sarnia. The Spirit have a 55-45-5-4 record with one tie, with a 31-21-1-1 record against the Sting at The Dow Event Center.
