Rangers Recall Pavel Buchnevich From Hartford

NEW YORK - New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled Pavel Buchnevich from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Buchnevich, 21, skated in three games with Hartford after he was assigned to the Wolf Pack on Jan. 6, registering one goal and one assist for two points, along with a plus-one rating. Buchnevich tallied his first career AHL goal/point while making his AHL debut on Jan. 6 vs. Lehigh Valley. In addition, he recorded his first career AHL assist and posted a plus-two rating on Jan. 11 at Rochester.

The 6-2, 193-pounder has skated in 10 games with the Rangers this season, registering four goals and four assists for eight points, along with a plus-four rating and four penalty minutes. He tallied his first career NHL assist/point while making his NHL debut on Oct. 13 against the NY Islanders, and he recorded his first career NHL goal on Nov. 5 at Boston. Buchnevich posted a four-game goal/point streak from Nov. 5 - Nov. 12, recording six points (four goals, two assists) over the span.
