
Rangers Fall 4-1 to Battalion

The Brampton Battalion opened up the exhibition schedule with a 4-1 win over the Kitchener Rangers.
The Battalion were up 2-0 after one period of play. Mitchell Porowski opened the scoring at the 1:47 mark. Ian Waters made it 2-0 after he beat Rangers netminder Frank Palazzese to the blocker side.
Following a scoreless second period, Ben Thomson netted a rebound from an Eric Ming shot to make it 2-1. Brampton reclaimed their two goal lead when Matt MacLeod's shot went in off the crossbar and hit the back leg of Rangers goalie Jack Moylan before entering the net. MacLeod scored his second goal at 18:43 in to a Rangers' empty net to give the Battalion a 4-1 lead and close out the scoring.
The Rangers travel to Brampton on Monday, September 5th for a 2:00pm game versus the Battalion. They return to home ice on Sunday, September 11th at 4:00pm when they play host to the Erie Otters.
