Kitchener, ON: 6105 fans enjoyed an active night of hockey at The Aud tonight. Erie's Shane Owen was tested with 57 shots by Kitchener, while the Rangers Mavric Parks faced 24 from Erie. Matt Halischuck and Justin Azevedo both gained 4 points tonight.

Nick Spaling picked the puck up from a goal mouth scramble and puts it in the net to start the game off. Justin Azevedo sent a pass across the crease to Matt Halischuk who scored his 10th of the season on the power play, making it a 2-0 Rangers advantage.

Erie's Justin Hodgman brought it to a one goal game when he buried a hard shot on Mavric Parks early in the second period. Shayne Taylor of Erie quickly tied it 2 all at 6:14.

Scoring his second of the evening, Matt Halishchuk gets the lead back for the Rangers (3-2) after he picked up a loose puck on the power. T.J. Battani followed seconds later with his sixth goal of the season for Kitchener.

Rangers dominated the third scoring three goals to end the game. Nick Spaling, Mikkel Boedker and Nazem Kadri close out scoring at 7-3 for the Rangers.

The Rangers return to action Sunday afternoon when they face the Saginaw Spirit with a start time of 2:00pm.
