
Rangers close out 2005 with a win

Kitchener, ON: The Rangers used five unanswered goals tonight en route to a 6-3 win over the visiting Barrie Colts before a crowd of 6,007 at The Aud.
The Colts opened the scoring in the first period on a goal by Hunter Tremblay at 15:50 while on the man advantage. David Lomas notched his 13th of the year at 16:48 to tie the game at 1-1 after the opening period.
In the second period the Colts jumped out to an early 3-1 lead on goals by Ryan Hamilton and Bryan Little. The Rangers responded with three straight goals to go ahead for the first time in the game 4-3. Justin Azevedo (11, 12) and Nick Spaling (6) supplied the offense in the period.
The Rangers continued the offense in the third period when Mike Duco (14) and Evan McGrath (22) each scored to give the Rangers a comfortable 6-3 advantage.
Dan Turple picked up his 19th win of the season stopping 27 shots. His overall record improved to 19-10-0 on the season.
The Rangers next home game is Sunday, January 1st against the Sudbury Wolves. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
