
Otters come back for win

PLYMOUTH, MI. - Jordan Nolan capped a third period comeback as the Erie Otters rallied for a 4-3 win over the Plymouth Whalers in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,043 at the Compuware Sports Arena. Chris Greene, Adam Berti and Anthony Peluso also scored for the Otters, who trailed 3-1 after two periods and won for only the second time this season when trailing after two. Tom Sestito, Mike Letizia and Jared Boll scored for the Whalers. The two teams were scoreless through one. Plymouth carried a 3-1 lead into the third. The Otters improved to 15-17-3-1 with the win. The Whalers saw a three-game winning streak end and dropped to 19-12-1-3. The shots were even at 39 as Josh Disher posted the victory. The three stars of the game were 1. Greene; 2. Otters defenseman Bret Nasby and 3. Plymouth forward Evan Brophy (two assists).
The Otters embark on the second half of a six-game road next Friday (January 6th) when they travel to Ottawa to face the 67's. The game can be heard live on SportsRadio 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company). Hamot Hockey Night begins with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m. The next Otters home game takes place January 11th when the Mississauga IceDogs visit the Tullio Arena.
