THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Saturday, Oct. 11 vs. Milwaukee Admirals @ AT&T Center-7:00 p.m.
This Saturday is the opener of the 2008-09 AHL regular season as the Rampage host the Milwaukee Admirals at the AT&T Cen- ter. The teams will meet six times during the 08-09 campaign.
Against the Admirals: The Rampage went 4-2-1-1 in 2007-08 against Mil- waukee in eight regular season meetings including a 3-1-0-0 record at the AT&T Center. Joey Tenute lead the Rampage with nine points (four goals, five assists) against the Admirals last season. Cal O'Reilly paced the Admirals with 12 assists and 13 points against the Rampage in 2007-08. Last season the Admirals went 44-29-4-3 and lost in the first round of the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT 08-09
HOME COOKING: The Rampage begin the 2008-09 season with nine of their first 12 games at the AT&T Center.
WILD WEST: In 2007-08 the West Division qualified five teams for the Calder Cup Playoffs. The Rampage start 2008-09 with seven straight games against division foes, including a pair against defending Calder Cup Champion Chi- cago. Overall San Antonio plays 50 games inside the division.
SHERRIF REMAINS: Rampage Head Coach Greg Ireland returns for his sec- ond season in charge as does Assistant Coach Ray Edwards.
MILESTONE APPROACHING: The Rampage have won 190 games in fran- chise history. Overall they have played 480 regular season games.
Ice Chips-Looking Back to 07-08
NEW RECORD FOR WINS: The Rampage recorded 42 wins in the 2007-08 season, a new franchise record for victories.
NEW RECORD FOR GOALS SCORED AND ALLOWED: The Rampage scored a franchise record 238 goals in the 2007-08 season, eclipsing the previ- ous total of 235 goals in 2002-03. The Rampage allowed a franchise record low 225 goals, eclipsing the previous low of 226 allowed in 2002-03.
HOME SWEET HOME: The Rampage were 23-13-2-2 at the AT&T Center in the 2007-08 season, eclipsing the franchise record for home wins in a cam- paign.
ONE GOAL GAMES: The Rampage were good in one goal games in 2007-08, going 20-10-3-7, earning 50 of a possible 80 points (.625 win %).
$1 Nights--$1 Nights occur every Friday at the AT&T Center and feature $1 draft beer and $1 fountain drinks.
Dollar Dogs--The Rampage will offer Dollar Dogs, featuring dollar hot dogs at every Wednes- day game courtesy of 98.5 The Beat and dollar hot dogs on Thursdays courtesy of Ticket 760 AM.
2-for-Tuesdays --2-for-Tuesdays offers two tick- ets for the price of one to Rampage games.
Cici's Pizza Zone --Brand new in 2008-09 is the Cici's Pizza Zone which features $12 tickets and comes with a coupon redeemable for a free buffet and free drink at Cici's Pizza.
Express News Value Night - Saturdays-- Returning is the Express News Value Night on six different Saturdays. Fans can enjoy a game ticket, hot dog, chips, and soda for $15 per person.
Express News Family Value Night - Sundays-- New this season is the Express News Family Value Night, which takes place on six separate Sundays, where fans can get a game ticket, hot dog, chips, soda, and pre-game skate for $12 per person.
