
Worcester Sharks Reduce Training Camp Roster By Six

WORCESTER - San Jose Sharks Vice President and Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the Worcester Sharks have released six players from the 2008-09 Worcester Sharks Training Camp Roster. The moves leave 23 players remaining on Worcester's roster.

Worcester finished their four game exhibition schedule 2-2-0-0 after a 5-4 win vs. the Monarchs on Sunday in Fitchburg. The Sharks close out their training camp schedule with a season ticket holder meet and greet at the Boston Billiard Club in Worcester on Tuesday, October 7th at 5:30p.m.
The Sharks will open their third season in Lowell on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m. Worcester will then travel to Glens Falls in New York to battle the River Rats on the October 17th at 7:30 p.m., and then return home for the team's home opener against Providence on October 18th at 7:05 p.m. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive All-Star bobbleheads and magnet schedules courtesy of Charter Communications! All fans will also be treated to a pre-game concert by Joshua Tree, a U2 tribute band! After the game, Joshua Tree will also perform at the Boston Billiard Club in Worcester to celebrate the Sharks' home opener.
