Dan LaCosta Assigned to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (October 6, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned goaltender Dan LaCosta to the Crunch and reassigned defenseman Jon Landry to Johnstown (ECHL). In addition, the following five players were released by the Crunch from their try-out contracts.

Bryan McGregor (Forward)

David Reekie (Goalie)

Jereme Tendler (Center)

The Crunch open their 15th AHL season with a home-and-home series against their I-90 rivals, the Rochester Americans. The teams will face-off at the Blue Cross Arena on Friday, October 10, followed by the Crunch's home opener at the War Memorial at Oncenter on Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444.
