San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (November 9, 2008) -The Rampage stormed back from a 3-0 deficit in the third period with goals from Dylan Reese and Adam Keefe but the Quad City Flames held on to win the game 4-2 with a hat trick from for Kyle Greentree Sunday evening at the AT&T Center.

Greentree completed the hat trick on an empty netter with 24 seconds to play to secure the Quad City weekend sweep.

Flames center Jamie Lundmark helped Greentree all night, including the first goal leading a two-on-one power play break feeding Greentree who danced down the pipe, faking a forehand wrister and sliding the puck to a backhand flip and beautiful one-on-one goal past the glove of Rampage goalie Josh Tordjman at the 15 minute mark of the first period.

Three minutes later, Flames defenseman Brett Palin snapped a slapshot low glove side past Tordjman giving the Flames a 2-0 lead through one.

The Flames penetrated the Rampage power play defense again in the second when Greentree one-timed the rebound off a Tordjman save of forward Kris Chucko at 11:37 to extend the Quad City lead to 3-0.

Lundmark assisted on every Flames goal and Greentree added an assist to his total as both scored 4 points in the contest. For San Antonio, it was the first goals of the season for both Reese and Keefe.

Tonight marked the debut of Rampage forward Matt Beaudoin who tallied an assist in his first effort and Rampage leading scorer Brett MacLean's feed into the crease lead to Keefe's goal and MacLean's eighth point of the season. Tordjman turned away 26 of 29 shots to take the loss and the AHL's second ranked penalty killing team entering the weekend allowed two more goals. Over the weekend, the Flames found the net five times in just eleven power play opportunities.
