
Forward Chris Lawrence Reassigned to Augusta

NORFOLK, VA - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned forward Chris Lawrence from the Admirals to the ECHL Augusta Lynx, Admirals General Manager Mike Butters announced today.
Lawrence, 21, is a 6-foot-4, 217-pound right wing, has appeared in ten games for the Admirals this season, registering one assist and nine penalty minutes. The second-year pro has skated in 63 career American Hockey League games - all with Norfolk - and has scored five goals and 12 assists with 41 penalty minutes.
Lawrence was drafted by the Lightning in the third round (89th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He split his junior hockey career between the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds and the Mississauga IceDogs of the OHL, scoring 88 goals and 117 assists with 295 penalty minutes over four seasons. He also represented Canada at the 2005 World U-18 Championships, scoring a goal in six games.
Norfolk will begin a two-week, seven-game road trip through the Atlantic Division on Tuesday afternoon in Lowell. The puck drops against the Devils at 4:00 p.m.
