
Rampage Sign Francis Beauvillier and Jonathan Racine to ATOs

SAN ANTONIO (April 4, 2013) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed forward Francis Beauvillier and defenseman Jonathan Racine to amateur tryout contacts.
Beauvillier, 19, recorded a career-season at Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL in his fourth year in the league. The 6-foot-1, 187-pound center averaged just shy of a point-per-game in 64 regular season games. (30 goals, 32 assists). Compared to last season, Beauvillier nearly doubled his point production, as he recorded 34 points (23 goals, 11 assists) during the 2011-12 campaign. In four years in the QMJHL split between Rimouski and Lewiston, Beauvillier tallied 76 goals and 71 assists in 249 games. Beauvillier was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the sixth round (174th overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Racine, 19, posted a career-high 21 points from the blueline in his first season with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound defenseman tallied eight goals and 13 assists in his fourth season in the league. Prior to joining Moncton, Racine played three seasons for the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL) where he tallied 24 points (five goals, 19 assists) in 184 games. In all, Racine has recorded 45 points (13 goals, 32 assists) in 245 games over the course of five seasons in the QMJHL. Racine was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the third round (87th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
The Rampage travel to Houston for a 7:05 p.m. tilt tonight (Thursday) night at Toyota Center before returning to AT&T Center on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. for a KZEP Dollar Drink Night.
