
Canadiens Recall Gabriel Dumont

MONTREAL, QUE - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Canadiens have recalled forward Gabriel Dumont from the Bulldogs.
Dumont, 22, played eight games while on recall earlier this season with the Canadiens posting two assists. Dumont has played 55 games for the Bulldogs this season and leads the team in points with 31 (16 goals, 15 assists) as well as in goals and has also accumulated 83 penalty minutes. The native of Ville Degelis, Quebec represented the Bulldogs at the 2013 AHL All-Star Classic suiting up for the Western Conference All-Stars. On December 28th against the St. John's IceCaps, Dumont notched a career-high five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in a 6-3 victory. The 5'10", 186-pound forward has played 178 games over three seasons for the Bulldogs posting 73 points (34 goals, 39 assists) and 217 penalty minutes. Dumont was originally selected by the Canadiens in the fifth round, 139th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs' next game is against the Rampage in San Antonio on Friday, April 5th at 8:30 p.m. All 'Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).
