San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 12, 2015) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Eric Joyce announced today that forward Tony Turgeon has been recalled from a conditioning assignment with the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones. Additionally, forwards Steven Hodges and Joe Basaraba have been reassigned to the Cyclones.
Turgeon has played in seven games with the Rampage so far this season and five with Cincinnati since being reassigned on Dec. 31. The left wing split time between the two clubs last season, recording two assists in 13 games with the Cyclones and playing in five games with San Antonio.
Hodges has recorded a goal and an assist in 23 games with the Rampage in the 2014-15 campaign. He signed an entry-level contract with the Panthers on June 1, 2014 after spending the last three seasons with the Victoria Royals (WHL), where he collected 70 goals and 74 assists in 184 games.
Basaraba was recalled from the Cyclones on Nov. 2 and notched an assist through 22 games with the Silver and Black. Prior to the recall, he tallied three goals and five assists in four contests for Cincinnati. Basaraba was a third-round draft pick (69th overall) of Florida in 2010 and picked up a goal and four assists in 10 games for Cincinnati last season following a four-year career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
The Rampage host the Rochester Americans in 80's Night on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Individual and season tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
