American Hockey League Announces Suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Utica Comets center Alex Friesen has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a boarding incident in a game at Hamilton on Jan. 9.

Friesen was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Friesen will miss Utica's game Wednesday (Jan. 14) vs. Grand Rapids.

The American Hockey League today announced that Lake Erie Monsters right wing Daniel Maggio has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a boarding incident in a game at Hamilton on Jan. 10.

Maggio was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Maggio will miss Lake Erie's game Friday (Jan. 16) at Chicago.
