In the fourth, the Bees rallied with one out. Back-to-back singles put runners at first and second. Spencer Griffin walked to load the bases. Luis Lara made it 4-1 with an RBI fielder's choice.

The Bees cut the lead in half with an RBI single by Tim Millard in the top of the ninth.

Cougar starter Lane Ratliff (5-1) earned the win with six innings of one-run ball, scattering three hits. The one run was unearned. Tyler Keele tossed two perfect innings of relief. Abraham Almonte (3) earned the save, despite allowing Millard's RBI in the ninth.
