Round Rock Express News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY - Yordany Ramirez laced a two-out RBI single to center in the top of the 10th inning to propel the Round Rock Express to a 6-5 victory over the Oklahoma City RedHawks in Monday night's series opener at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The Express (2-3) have won six of the last seven meetings with the RedHawks (2-3), dating back to last season.

Ramirez was 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored on the night, including a three-run homer in the fourth inning that gave the Express a 4-1 lead. Oklahoma City pulled to within a run with single spots in the fifth and seventh innings before the Express added what appeared to be an insurance run in the top of the ninth. Mitch Moreland's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth tied the game and sent it to extra innings.

Casey Daigle (1-0) picked up the victory despite blowing a save in the ninth. He allowed a leadoff single to Justin Smoak in the ninth ahead of Moreland's homer. Daigle then struck out the next five batters before inducing a Matthew Brown groundout to end the game.

Omar Beltre (0-1) was saddled with the loss; he allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts over 1.2 innings.

Round Rock and Oklahoma City continue the series Tuesday; first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT. The Express send right-hander Josh Banks (0-0, 1.50) to the mound opposite RedHawk southpaw Derek Holland (0-0, 1.50).
