
Ramirez Creates Power Outage, 'Birds Win, 6-0

The Shorebirds got a complete game, five hit shutout from RHP Luis Ramirez sailing to a 6-0 victory. The scoring started in the bottom of the second inning when Paco Figueroa singled in CJ Smith and Brian Bock with two outs. In the third inning Jake Duncan and Jason Fransz had back-to-back doubles plating a run and then with two outs Bock singled in Fransz from third. In the bottom of the seventh Duncan again lead off the inning with a double and scored on the RBI Triple by Arturo Rivas. Then Rivas scored on another RBI single by Brian Bock. Ramirez ended the game with eight strikeouts and did not allow a run.
