
Cody Ehlers Promoted to Tampa

CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees announced Saturday that RiverDogs 1B/DH Cody Ehlers has been promoted to High A Tampa. C Luis Robles was transferred from Tampa to the RiverDogs and will take Ehlers' place on the active roster.
Ehlers was named to the South Atlantic League Southern Division All-Star as a utility infielder after finishing second on the RiverDogs in RBI in the first half of the season. The alumnus of the University of Missouri hit .287 with eight home runs and 49 RBI in 72 games for Charleston this season.
Robles hit .174 with a RBI in nine games for Tampa this season. The native of Rialto, CA, was selected by the Yankees in the 18th-round of the 2002 draft and is in his fourth season of professional baseball. Robles spent 2004 with RiverDogs manager Bill Mosiello in Battle Creek, where he hit .196 in 33 games.
