Hagerstown, MD - The Lakewood BlueClaws (6-3) began a nine game road trip Saturday night in Hagerstown against the Suns (3-6), Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets, with an 11-9 win. Lakewood was led by Chris Klemm who had four RBI's in the game.

With the score tied at 8-8 entering the seventh the BlueClaws platted three runs to take an 11-8 lead. Mike Dzurilla led off the inning with a walk then moved up to third on the one-out base hit from Doug Gredvig. Dzurilla scored when Jason Jaramillo reached on a fielder's choice to give Lakewood the lead.

Jaramillo grounded the ball back to the pitcher who tried to come home with the play but Dzurilla beat the tag of the catcher. Klemm then followed up with a two-run double scoring Gredvig and Jaramillo to give Lakewood the lead.

Lakewood trailed 8-5 entering the fifth but plated three runs in the inning to cut the lead to one. Brad Harman led off the inning reaching first after being hit by a pitch. Harman moved up to third on Dzurilla's double then came around to score on a passed ball. After Sam Orr and Gredvig both struck out Jaramillo followed up with two-run homer, his fifth of the year, to tie the game up at 8-8.

Lakewood took their first lead of the game in the top of the third inning plating three runs for a 5-2 lead. With the score tied at 2-2 and runners on first and second Gredvig connected for a two-out, two-run double for a 4-2 lead. Jaramillo followed up with an RBI base hit to push the lead to 5-2.

Hagerstown reclaimed the lead in the bottom half plating six runs on four hits off the BlueClaws starter Nate Johnson. Johnson walked two in the inning, hit a batter and had a wild pitch while surrendering four hits as Hagerstown took an 8-5 lead.

Neither starter recorded a decision in the game with Johnson lasting just three innings and allowing eight runs on eight hits while walking two and striking out five.

Josh Paddock (1-0) picked up the win in relief allowing just two hits and striking out two over two innings of relief. Jacob Barrack closed out the ninth for his seventh save of the year allowing a walk and hit while striking out one.

Gredvig continued his hot hitting going 3-for-4 with two RBI's, a walk and three runs scored.

Lakewood and the Suns wrap up their short two game series in Hagerstown Sunday night. The BlueClaws will send right-hander Maximo De La Cruz (3-7, 4.45) to the mound while the Suns will counter with right-hander Gabby Hernandez (6-1, 2.61). First pitch on Friday night is at 7:05 p.m. with on-air time at 6:50 p.m. on 1310 WADB and www.blueclaws.com.

This season, the Lakewood BlueClaws are celebrating their fifth anniversary of providing great fun in the Jersey sun.
