River City Rascals News Release

The second game of the Rascals-MIners three-game set at T.R. Hughes has been suspended due to heavy rain and lightning. That means a doubleheader tomorrow at T.R. Hughes.

Tonight's game was stopped shortly after the second inning began when a heavy storm began to pound the O'Fallon area. Play in the contest will pick back up tomorrow beginning at 1:05 pm. Thirty minutes after it concludes, Game 2 of the doubleheader, which is Game 3 of the series, will begin. That final contest is scheduled to last just seven innings.

The Rascals were leading the game 1-0 when play was suspended with one out in the second. Eric Williams scored the game's only tally after reaching on a walk. He crossed the plate on an RBI groundout by Saxon Butler.
