Cary, NC (Tuesday, August 17, 2010) - The Carolina RailHawks host Miami FC on Wednesday night and will be holding their second annual Taste of the Triangle event as part of the festivities. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and tickets for the match are still available at the LGFCU Box Office. Fans will be able to purchase bracelets for $3 to access the food sampling pavilion at the event. Proceeds from the sale of wristbands will benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

Taste of the Triangle will feature some of the Triangle's best restaurants sampling their food. Last year over 50 restaurants participated and more than 800 fans were able to sample food and learn more about all the great establishments the Triangle has to offer.

This year, the event will be co-sponsored by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. "We are pleased to be involved in this community event to show our support for our home team and the downtown restaurants participating in the "Taste of the Triangle" pre-game event. To further explore downtown dining options be sure to join us during the Downtown Raleigh Restaurant week from Monday, August 23-Sunday, August 29. For more information, visit www.DineDowntownRaleigh.com," says David Diaz, Downtown Raleigh Alliance President and CEO.

Participating restaurants include Backyard Bistro, The Carolina Ale House and Kanki, all returning for a second year in a row. Fans will have an opportunity to learn about them as well as newcomers such as Chubby's Tacos, The Corner Tavern, Napper Tandy's and Solas. "It gave us the opportunity to mix and mingle with avid sports fans that also have a taste for good food in the Triangle. If people hadn't heard of our restaurant before, it provided us the opportunity to let them taste our food & invite them to check us out."

After the Match against Miami FC on Wednesday night the RailHawks will travel to Austin on August 21 and Tampa on August 25 before returning to Wakemed Soccer Park on August 28 to host the Puerto Rico Islanders.
