RailCats to Wrap up Season with Seven-Game Homestand

GARY, Ind. - The RailCats will finish the 2012 regular season with a seven-game homestand at U. S. Steel Yard beginning on Tuesday night when the St. Paul Saints come to town to start a four-game series.

Tuesday night's 7:10 game will be Free Pizza Tuesday, as all fans will get a free slice of pizza with a reserved or box seat ticket purchase. Wednesday's game is at 7:10 and it will be Wing it Wednesday, with 50 cent wings available in the Diamond Club.

The final Thursday home game of the season will be a special one, as Michael Jackson's three children Prince, Paris and Blanket will be at the game as part of the "Goin' Back to Indiana: Can You Feel It" tour. Prior to the game, Prior to the game, the RailCats will recognize the King of Pop with a special musical performance by The Gratitude Project, followed by a moment of remembrance.

Prince, Paris and Blanket will receive honorary RailCats uniforms and throw out the first pitch of the game before the RailCats and Saints game at 7:10 PM. Fans who donate a blanket to the Salvation Army at the gate, will receive $2 off the price of admission. It is also Thirsty Thursday with drafts of Miller Lite and Miller Genuine Draft on sale for just $1 at the concession stands.

Friday will be the final Fireworks Friday of the year, with a spectacular fireworks show after the 7:10 game.

The Laredo Lemurs come to the Steel Yard on Saturday at 6:10 to start a three-game series. It is Souvenir Saturday and there will be a lunchbox giveaway to the first 1,000 fans.

On Times Family Sunday, kids will run the bases post-game and there will be RailCats players signing autographs on the field after the 2:10 game. Fans may also purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four pops for $36 using the coupon from the Times.

Fan Appreciation Day will be on Monday night at 7:10 for the final game of the regular season. Fans who wear their RailCats jerseys will get $2 off their ticket purchase. There will be a team photo giveaway to the first 1,000 fans. There will also be a post-game fireworks show. It is Dollar Monday, so fans can buy one ticket and get the second for just $1. There are also $1 pop, chips, popcorn and hot dogs at the concession stand.
