Raiders Return home to debut new 3rd Jerseys!

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders will introduce a new third jersey for the organization this Friday when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers at 7 PM. The base of the jersey and socks is black with gold and white trim. There is a stylized PA on the chest with a new Pirate and Raider word on the shoulders.

The only previous third jersey in franchise history was green and worn by the team from 2005-08.

Friday's game starts a 4 game home stand for the Raiders as they host Lethbridge Hurricanes Saturday at 7 PM. The Raiders also are very busy in the community all week as they have just returned from their longest road trip of the season.

Among the off-ice activities, the Raiders will be introducing the SGI Project Forward program for schools, relaying images and impressions from their visit to the East Hastings of Vancouver last week, the start of the Read with the Raiders program and a free community Skate Sunday.

Monday, October 18

Day Off

Face Off on 900 CKBI - 6:00 PM

Drew Wilson, voice of the Raiders is joined by Kalen Kovich as co-host for the weekly phone in show featuring Raider General Manager and Head Coach Bruno Campese. Fans can call 764-2524 or email faceoff@rawlco.com.

Tuesday, October 19

SGI Project Forward Presentation at Meath Park School - 9:30 AM

Brandon Herrod, Andrew Herle, Emerson Hrynyk and Jamie Tucker will visit Grade 6 and 7 students. Herrod and Herle will relate their experiences from what they saw in one of Canada's most notorious drug areas last week during their road trip to Vancouver.

Project Forward was sponsored by the RCMP.

Read with the Raiders Launch at J.M. Culueneare Public Library - 5:30 PM

The highly successful Read with the Raiders program enters its 8th season as sponsored by SaskTel, the Prince Albert Rotary Club, Prince Albert Daily Herald and John M. Culueneare Public Library. Raiders Mark McNeill, Mike Winther, Harrison Ruopp, Mathew Berry-Lamontagna and Shane Danyluk will host the launch to encourage young readers to read often! The club meets monthly with top readers to be honoured at the conclusion of the season.

Wednesday, October 20

Victoria Hospital visit - 9:30 AM

Raiders Ryan Button, Austin Connor and Tyler Yaworski will visit the Children's Ward at Victoria Hospital.

Thursday, October 21

SGI Project Forward Presentation at Riverside School - 9:30 AM

Ryan Button, Nathan Deck, James Bettauer and Jonathan Parker will visit Grade 6 and 7 students. Button and Deck will relate their experiences from what they saw in one of Canada's most notorious drug areas last week during their road trip to Vancouver.

Friday, October 22

Medicine Hat Tigers at Raiders - 7:00 PM

3rd Jersey Launch - The Raiders will wear their new 3rd jerseys for the first time as they entertain the Medicine Hat Tigers following their longest road trip of the season. It is the Raiders first home game in 17 days.

Saturday, October 23

Lethbridge Hurricanes at Raiders - 7:00 PM

The Raiders continue their home stand entertaining Rich Preston and the Hurricanes for the first time this season.

Sunday, October 24

RBC Community Skate - 4:00 - 6:00 PM

The Raiders along with the Prince Albert A & W Bears of the Saskatchewan Female Major Midget Hockey League invite the community to come to a free skate with both teams from

4:00 - 6:00 PM courtesy RBC.

Players from both teams will be available for autographs through out the skate, with many free prize draws to be held for items from RBC and the Raiders. The event is open to the general public courtesy RBC
