Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce the organization will be presenting a cheque for $15,300 to the Canadian Cancer Society as the net proceeds for their first ever on-ice jersey auction that followed their game Friday, October 30th against the Regina Pats.

"It is an amazing total", said Bruce Vance, Raiders Director of Marketing and Media Relations. "We had no idea heading in what to expect but Raider fans have displayed their generosity and community spirit once again."

All monies raised will stay with the Canadian Cancer Society within Saskatchewan for research, education and peer support.

The Raiders would like to thank CTV who supported the night along with Myron Schmaltz of Schmaltz Auctions who conducted the auction.

The Raiders will be wearing a second specialty jersey to coincide with the arrival of the Olympic Torch in Prince Albert, on Saturday, January 9th when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors. Proceeds from the auction following that game will go to the Raider Education Fund and the auction will be conducted in the Ches Leach Lounge.
