Rocky Mountain Rage News Release
Corpus Christi, Texas - The Rocky Mountain Rage have signed defenseman Tom Reimann as they begin the second half of the season tonight following the Central Hockey League All-Star Break on the road against the Corpus Christi Rayz.
Reimann played three years of professional hockey after attending the University of Maine, where he made two trips to the Frozen Four in 2000 and 2002. After recording 27 points (4g-23a) in 33 games last season for the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL, the Minnesota native retired to begin a career as a financial planner in Denver.
He will suit up for the Rage this weekend and possibly into next week as the club continues to fight the injury bug. During the team's last game on Saturday, Rocky Mountain finished the 3-1 loss to the New Mexico Scorpions with only 10 available skaters. Tonight, head coach Tracy Egeland expects to have 13 skaters at his disposal with the addition of Reimann and the return of Chip Dunleavy and Nathan Rosychuk to the line-up.
In a separate transaction, the Rage have placed defenseman Kyle Kos and forward Bret DeCecco on 14-day injured reserve, where they join defenseman Jordan Little. Defenseman Preston Briggs and forward Dorian Anneck are on 45-day IR, while captain Dan Vandermeer still remains sidelined with an injury, as well.
Fans can catch the live play-by-play action from tonight's game in Corpus Christi and tomorrow's clash against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on KLZ 560 AM beginning with the pre-game show at 5:50 p.m. MST tonight and at 6:20 p.m. MST tomorrow.
The Rage then return home on Tuesday, Jan. 23, to host the defending President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks at Broomfield Event Center at 7:05 p.m.
