Thunder Bay, ON- The Rafters fall to 0-3 against the North this summer, as they fall to the Border Cats by a score of 11-4 tonight. The Border Cats swept the Rafters even after committing 5 errors in this evening' s ball game. Johnny York (St. Mary' s) picked up the win, Jon Malmin (Texas) took the loss, and Kenny Glove Jr. (Savannah State) picked up the save. The Rafters move to 8-11 in the 2nd half with the loss, while the Border Cats move to 7-14 in the win.

The Rafters were unable to capitalize as they failed to score after having the bases loaded twice in the ball game. All the Rafters offense came in 5th inning tonight, as Brock Carpenter (Seattle) plated his college teammate Michael McCann (Seattle) for the Rafters first run of the ball game. Ryan Cleveland (Georgia Southern) plated Zack Domingues (Long Beach State) on an RBI single. Jake Sandlin (Southern Mississippi) plated two more runs for the Rafters as he drove in Cleveland and Beau Jordan (LSU).

It was a total team effort tonight for Thunder Bay as seven different Border Cats scored in the 11-4 rout. Dan Rizzie (Xavier) was the player of the night with two doubles and 5 RBI' s. Kenny Glover Jr. (Savannah State) got the Border Cats out of a bases loaded jam in the 6th en route to four scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
