Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (30-37, 15-17 2nd half) head up to Wausau to face the Wisconsin Woodchucks (28-40 ,16-17 2nd half) at Athletic Park. This is the first meeting between these two teams since June 24th. The Rafters are 4-2 against the Chucks in 2018. A win tonight and Wisconsin Rapids is ensured a season-series win over Wisconsin. Last night, the Rafters fell 4-3 to the Bombers. The tying run in Bret Fehr (SIU Edwardsville) was thrown out at the plate to end the game by Connor Bailey's throw from left after a base hit from Ethan Stringer (Louisville).

Tonight, the Rafters will send Jake Cook (1-8, 6.84 ERA) to the mound. Cook is making his 12th start of the summer and has 36 strikeouts in 48.2 innings pitched. Cook has yet to face the Woodchucks this season but looks to add to the success the Rafters have on the mound opposite the Woodchucks this season. Wisconsin Rapids sports a 2.77 ERA versus the Wisconsin Woodchucks this season.

The Chucks will send Ricardo Garcia (0-1, 4.70) out in the club's final home game of the season. Garcia will be making his first start of the year but has three bullpen appearances already under his belt. The junior from Webber International has allowed four runs on six hits, six walks and four strikeouts in 7.2 innings.
