Rafters Face Woodchucks in Twin-Billing to Open 2015 Season

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - After rain forced a postponement of the season opener between the Rafters and the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Tuesday, the two teams will square off in a doubleheader tonight at Witter Field to begin the 2015 season. Each game will be seven innings, with the first pitch scheduled for 5:05 p.m. The second game will start approximately 20 minutes following the conclusion of game one.

John Jaeger will be on the hill in game one to open the season for the Rafters. Jaeger, a sophomore from the University of the Pacific, is making his Northwoods League debut. The right hander saw action in 20 games, earning a 1-1 record with a 4.99 ERA across 30.2 innings.

Game two's starter for the Rafters will be Adam Hall, a righty from Xavier University. The Dublin, Ohio native made 13 appearances for the Musketeers during the 2015 season, including 12 starts. He finished the season with a 1-5 record, sporting a 5.11 ERA over 49.1 innings and struck out 34 batters.

Gates will open at 4:05 p.m. and all fans in attendance of the games will receive a magnet schedule, courtesy of Nieman's Service in Wisconsin Rapids. Fans will also be treated with a live performance from the ZOOperstars during game two.
