Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release

Mequon, Wis. - After dropping a one-run game Friday night, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (4-7) look to rebound Saturday in the series finale against the Lakeshore Chinooks (3-8).

The Rafters led early against the Chinooks last night, but could not survive a late surge and fell 3-2 in game three of a four-game series. Tonight, Wisconsin Rapids looks to split the series in the finale.

Josh Nicoloff and Rich Ciufo both went 1-for-3 with an RBI in the loss. Gareth Stroh gave up just one hit through four innings as the starting pitcher.

Nathan Hemmerling gets the nod tonight for Wisconsin Rapids. In two starts for the Rafters, Hemmerling has a 3.60 ERA and three strikeouts through five innings. Randon Duaman is projected to start for Lakeshore. He has a 4.26 ERA and an 0-1 record in two starts.

The Rafters return to Historic Witter Field on Sunday for a 4:05 p.m. game against the Madison Mallards. There will be a Fey Printing All-Star card giveaway and former Rafters All-Stars Skyler Debilzen, Seth Fuller, and Mason McReaken will be in attendance.
