Rafters and Woodchucks Postponed After Rain Falls at Witter Field

Wisconsin Rapids, WI-. Due to inclement weather in the Wisconsin Rapids area, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and Wisconsin Woodchucks game was postponed on Saturday evening after the two teams completed the first two innings of play with the Rafters leading, 1-0. The two teams will resume today's contest the next time the Woodchucks visit Witter Field on June 19, with the first game set to begin at 4:35 p.m. and the second of the double header to follow thirty minutes after the conclusion of the game one. The second game of the double header will be a seven-inning ballgame.

The postponed game is the third of the year and second of the week after the Rafters and Madison Mallards game was postponed earlier this week.

The Rafters will continue their Northwoods League schedule tomorrow when they finish up a short series with the Woodchucks on Sunday afternoon at 5:05 p.m. Fans can listen to tomorrow's broadcast by tuning into 1320 AM WFHR with the pregame show beginning at 4:50 p.m.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2013.
