Rafters and Chinooks Postponed After Rain Falls at Kapco Park

Mequon, WI- Due to inclement weather and heavy rain fall in the Mequon area, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (24-26, 6-11) and Lakeshore Chinooks (34-18, 13-5) were forced to postpone tonight's ballgame at Kapco Park. The two teams will play a day-night double header with both contests consisting of seven innings apiece. The Rafters this season are 2-2 in double-header contests, with the last one occurring against the Chinooks on June 8 at Witter Field.

The Rafters will break for the Northwoods League All-Star Game in Eau Claire, WI., June 22-24 and won't return to action until June 25 when Wisconsin Rapids visits Copeland Park for the final time this season against the La Crosse Loggers. The Rafters are 4-5 this season against the Loggers with the last match coming July 5, a 6-12 loss.

Fans can listen to Thursday nights broadcast by tuning in to 1320 AM WFHR. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2013.
