Battle Creek, Mich. - The Battle Creek Bombers (6-13) fell to the Eau Claire Express (10-9) Sunday Evening 6-1 as Eau Claire completed the sweep heading into the NWL All Star Break.

Express' spot starter Brandon Jackson (W, 1-1) allowed a run in the first inning on a Kade Scivicque groundout that scored Tommy Mirabelli and was superb after that. The righty gave up just four hits over five innings to get the win.

David Stagg (L, 2-3) allowed a season high eight hits in his five innings while allowing four runs. The Express spread their runs out scoring two in the third and sixth and plating one in the fourth and fifth. Eau Claire used five extra base hits to score their runs, all part of an 11 hit effort.

The Northwoods League will take three days off for the NWL All Star Game in Eau Claire on Tuesday Night. The Bombers will send Cam Gibson, Stagg, and Hunter Devall to compete in the game. Battle Creek will return to action in Madison on Thursday night with Keegan Yuhl (1-1, 1.03) on the mound.
