Rafael Rotter named Grand & Toy Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm announced that 19 year old forward Rafael Rotter is the Grand & Toy Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 28th.

Rotter was the top Storm point getter this week finishing with two goals and three assists for five points in three games. Through 42 games this season, the Austrian native has 12 goals and 29 assists for 41 points. Rotter is currently third on the team in scoring and tied for 5th in powerplay goals.

The second year forward started the week with one goal in the 4-3 shootout loss against the Erie Otters on Wednesday. Friday night at home, the 19 year old was awarded the third star of the game and assisted on the second Storm goal of the night in the 3-0 white wash of the Eastern Conference leading Barrie Colts. Sunday afternoon in Guelph, Rotter was named the first star of the game scoring once and recording two assists in the 5-1 Storm win over the Ottawa 67's

Rotter and the Storm are on the road next weekend traveling to London on Thursday night to face off against the London Knights and then to Kitchener on Friday to play the rival Rangers. The next home game for the Storm is Thursday, February 8th when they host the London Knights for the second time in a week. Game time is 7:00 pm.
