Inland Empire 66ers News Release

San Bernardino, Calif - Dodgers infielder Rafael Furcal will begin his major league rehab assignment with the Inland Empire 66ers tomorrow at Arrowhead Credit Union Park. The 10-year Major League Veteran will try to get his tight left hamstring back to full strength as well as help the 66ers snap a six game losing streak beginning with Tuesday's 7:05 contest against the Lake Elsinore Storm.

Furcal is expected to play for the 66ers both Tuesday and Wednesday against the Lake Elsinore Storm. He has been one of the most popular Dodgers since signing with the team prior to the 2006 season. In his four years in Dodger blue he has a .287 batting average, 35 home runs, 179 RBI and 90 stolen bases. During his 10-year major league career he has 92 home runs and over 1500 hits.

The Dodgers lead off man rehabbed with the 66ers in 2007 for two games, but has not been back since. Great seats are available for both Tuesday and Wednesday's games including luxury suites for those looking for the best views in Arrowhead Credit Union Park of the action.
