TONIGHT'S GAME: The second of a four game series and the second of 12 meetings, the second of six at Cooper Stadium. Game six of an eight game road trip (Braves are 2-3). The Braves were 3-9 vs. the Clippers last season, 1-5 at Cooper Stadium. This is the sixth of 48 games vs. West Division opponents, the sixth of 24 on the road (the Braves are 2-3). Richmond was 18-30 vs. the West last season, 9-15 on the road. The Braves are 337-383 vs. the Clippers all-time. The Braves are third in the South, 13 games behind first place Charlotte. Columbus is fourth in the West, four and a half games behind Indianapolis.

YESTERDAY'S GAME: The Braves beat the Clippers 7-3 at Cooper Stadium Monday. Bill McCarthy had the Braves first two home run game of the season as Richmond took the opener of a four game set. The Braves grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single by Scott Thorman. The Clippers Danny Garcia chased a run home with a double in the second to tie the game at one. McCarthy's first home run of the night, a three run shot in the fourth, put the Braves in front to stay, 4-1. Columbus moved a run closer in the forth when Kevin Reese knocked in a run with a bases loaded walk. McCarthy blew the game open in the fifth when he drilled his second three run homer of the game to give the Braves a 7-2 advantage. The Clippers picked up one more run in the seventh on a Koyie Hill sacrifice fly. Brian O'Connor picked up the win for Richmond. Matt Childers took the loss. Horacio Ramirez allowed one run in three innings in his rehab stint. McCarthy had six RBI. Wes Timmons added two hits for the Braves. Melky Cabrera had three hits for the Clippers.

MOVING ON UP: RHP Chad Paronto has been called up to Atlanta. It will be his first big league service since 2003 with Cleveland. Paronto had an ERA of 1.02 and a club leading four saves in 12 outings. Paronto is the sixth R-Brave to earn a big league call-up this season. LHP Horacio Ramirez left the Braves following last night's rehab stint but remains on Atlanta's Disabled List. RHP Tyler Yates joins the Braves today. He was signed by Atlanta as a free agent after missing all of last season due to arm surgery. The Braves have now made 36 roster moves since Opening Day Through 33 games last season the Braves made 24 moves. They used a club record 60 players last season

SHARP STARTERS: The Braves last 10 starting pitchers (Brian O'Connor, Anthony Lerew, Kevin Barry, Ricardo Rodriguez, Travis Smith, and Horacio Ramirez) have allowed just 16 earned runs in their last 57 innings (2.52 ERA). The Braves are 5-5 over that span. Braves starters have 21 strikeouts in their last 14.2 innings. The Braves staff is fifth in the IL in K's.

CRUNCHING NUMBERS: Jamal Strong has a four game hitting streak (5-15 .333). David Kelton has hits in six of seven games. Carlos Mendez has a four game hitting streak (6-17 .353). Brad Baker has allowed just one run in his last 9.2 innings.

CORINTHIAN LEATHER: The Braves have played four straight errorless games and have committed just one error in their last eight games. Richmond is second in the IL in fielding percentage. The Braves are second in total chances. The Braves have started at least three players at every position except second base.
