
Quebec's lefty sold to Dodgers

DURHAM, NC - The Can-Am League announced today that Quebec Capitales LHP Eric Cyr has been sold to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In seven starts, Cyr accumulated a record of 3-1 with an ERA of 1.80. The southpaw struck out 48 batters and allowed only four walks in 45 innings pitched. Cyr was tied for second in the league in strikeouts and fourth in earned run average.
The 29-year-old was a 30th round selection of the San Diego Padres in 1998. He pitched four seasons in the Padres organization, reaching the majors with the club in 1992. Cyr also spent time in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Cincinnati Reds farm systems as well as one previous stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
