HR: NJ- Juan Tejeda (6); WOR- Francisco Caraballo (8)
After grabbing an early 3-1 lead on 1B Juan Tejeda's sixth home run of the year, New Jersey saw a two run ninth inning lead turn into a one run deficit. But the Jackals tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and went on to win 7-6 in 10 innings. A passed ball, a wild pitch, and a two-RBI single by RF Scott Grimes had produced three runs and a 6-5 lead for the Tornadoes before Tejeda singled to score pinch runner Tommy Murphy and tie the game at six. In the extra frame a single, a sacrifice bunt, and a passed ball put CF Zach Smithlin at third with just one out. 2B Marcus Sanders then lifted a sacrifice fly to right field to give the Jackals the win. With the loss Worcester falls 1.5 games behind first place Quebec.

JC Huguet threw seven solid innings and allowed just two hits to lead Atlantic City over Nashua 4-2. The two hits were solo home runs by Nashua LF Dennis Abreu and 1B Bryan Duplissie but they did not put the game in jeopardy for the Surf who built an early 3-0 lead. In the fourth inning 1B Eddie Kim opened the scoring with a two-run double before a groundout by DH Clyde Williams plated the third run of the frame. After Abreu homered to cut the lead to 3-1 the Surf added an insurance run in the seventh inning and turned the game over to the bullpen. Walker Whitley pitched the ninth inning to earn his first save of the year.
