Pittsfield Colonials News Release
QUEBEC, QC - Bryan Rembisz tossed a five-hitter as the Quebec Capitales took the middle game of a weekend series from the Pittsfield Colonials by a 7-2 score.
Quebec got on the board in the third with a bases loaded walk and a ground ball to score a pair of runs for a 2-0 lead. An Ivan Naccarata double keyed a three-run sixth inning that gave the Capitales all of the offense they would need in the contest, putting Quebec up 5-0. The lead would be extended with a pair of runs in the seventh to cement the victory.
Pittsfield got their only two runs of the game in the ninth on a two-run homer by Jerod Edmondson, his 11th of the season.
Bryan Rembisz (7-1) picked up the win, going the distance for the Capitales. David Qualben (5-7) took the loss for Pittsfield.
The final game of the series against the Capitales comes up on Sunday with Pat Moran (9-3, 3.84) on the mound for the Colonials against Quebec's Jean-Francois Ricard (0-0, 0.00). Coverage on 89.7 WTBR FM will begin at 12:45 p.m. with the pregame show outside of a 1:05 p.m. first pitch.
