(Ramapo, N.Y.) - Jonathan Malo belted two homers and three other Capitales went deep to push Quebec past Rockland 9-4 in the first of a three game series at Provident Bank Park.
After Quebec jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, the Boulders' bats warmed up. Orlando Mercado put Rockland on the board in the bottom of the second with a two out double that scored Cole Kraft.
They tied the game in the third on an RBI single by Ryan Scoma, who extended his hitting streak to nine games.
After tying things in the third, the Boulders took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth when Jon Smith hit a two-run double that brought in Kraft and Mercado.
But just as quick as Rockland took the lead, Quebec stormed back in front. Back-to-back solo shots from Jeff Helps and Malo tied the score at four.
Then in the sixth, James Roche hit a long two-run homer to break the tie and put the Capitales in front for good. Quebec added two in the seventh on Malo's second round tripper, then one more run in the eighth.

Bobby Blevins takes the mound for Rockland Saturday night opposite Jeff Duda, as the Boulders look to end a two game losing streak.
