Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release
Lake Elsinore, CA - Nick Vogt's RBI single gave Lake Elsinore their fourth straight win and their third in extra-innings in the series, as the Storm outlasted the Quakes in 11 innings, 8-7 on Friday night at The Diamond.
Rancho came back to tie the game at 4-4 in the ninth and then had a 7-4 lead in the tenth, only to surrender three in the tenth to force another extra frame.
Noah Ruen (0-1) got the first out of the 11th, but a slow-roller that was perfectly placed off the bat of Vogt brought home Alain Camou to end it.
Samuel Munoz had two hits and two RBIs, including a game-tying triple in the ninth. Kendall George, Josue De Paual and Jordan Thompson all had two hits each for the Rancho offense, which posted 11 hits on the night.
The Quakes (23-24) now trail the Storm by a full game in the South Division. Dodgers' rehabbing right-hander Bobby Miller (0-0) is expected to start Saturday's contest, as the Quakes will look to break their four-game skid. Lake Elsinore is scheduled to throw Isaiah Lowe (1-2), with first pitch at 5:15pm from The Diamond.
The Quakes will return to LoanMart Field on Tuesday, June 4, as they host Visalia for a six-game series. Tuesday the 4th will be a Healthy RC Recycle Tuesday, as fans can log on to the website and learn how to get a FREE Club Seat Ticket to the game. Tickets are available at rcquakes.com. Go Quakes!
