
Purple Road Show kicks off

KEARNEY - Stormy, the Tri-City Storm's mascot, kicked off his "Purple Road Show" this morning at 6 a.m. at the Kearney Family YMCA. The "Purple Road Show" is raising awareness for the United Way and the Storm's Feb. 10 game against the Omaha Lancers titled "Pack It In Purple."
Stormy's "Purple Road Show" kicks off a week worth of promotion that will conclude at Saturday's game with the team's annual United Way Jersey auction. As part of his "Purple Road Show" Stormy will be making numerous stops at local businesses throughout Kearney.
While on his "Purple Road Show, Stormy is challenging his fans of all ages to find him along his route. Fans can receive free Storm giveaways and register to win a "Pack It In Purple" prize package.
Stormy will also be selling tickets to Saturday's "Pack It In Purple" game or $6 "I Bleed Purple" t-shirts. Fans are encouraged to wear purple to Saturday's game.
