Providence Bruins Announce Training Camp Roster

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, entering their 19th season in the American Hockey League, today announced their training camp roster for the 2010-11 season. The roster is presently comprised of 26 players, including 11 forwards, 12 defensemen and three goaltenders.

The group of forwards includes Casey Haines, Jordan Knackstedt, Lane MacDermid, Kirk MacDonald, Levi Nelson, Yannick Riendeau, Antoine Roussel, Maxime Sauve, Jordan Smotherman, Devin Timberlake and Walker Wintoneak. Haines, Timberlake and Wintoneak are in Providence on tryout agreements.

The defensive core is made up of Yury Alexandrov, Andrew Bodnarchuk, Jack Christian, Matt Delahey, Ryan Donald, Matt Generous, Brandon Gentile , Alain Goulet, Nathan McIver, Jeff Penner, Todd Perry and Cody Wild. Christian, Delahey, Generous, Gentile and Perry are also in camp on tryouts.

Goaltending duties will be handled by Adam Courchaine, Matt Dalton and Michael Hutchinson.

Training camp is set to begin this morning and will run through Thursday, October 7, with all sessions to be held at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. Please note that training camp is not open to the public.

Providence opens the regular season at The Dunk on Friday, October 8 at 7:05 p.m. against the Springfield Falcons.
