Jessiman Assigned to Rockford from Chicago

Chicago, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned forward Hugh Jessiman to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs and returned forward Ludvig Rensfeldt to his junior club, Brynas IF, in Sweden.

The 2010-11 season is Jessiman's first in the Blackhawks organization. The New York, New York native skated in 78 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) last season tallying 20g-22a. Jessiman spent the two campaigns in Milwaukee after getting acquired by the Nashville Predators from the New York Rangers.

Jessiman has 313 games of AHL experience and has totaled 72g-71a. The 6-6 forward was the Rangers first round draft pick (#12 overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Rockford training camp roster contains 30 players including 17 forwards 10 defensemen and three goalies.

Chicago's training camp roster now stands at 31 active players, which includes 17 forwards, 10 defensemen and four goaltenders.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 9, 2009 vs. Manitoba Moose. The puck is set to drop at 4:35 p.m. The IceHogs begin the 2010-11 season against the Manitoba Moose and the first 5,000 fans will receive a 2010-11 IceHogs Magnet Schedule courtesy of U.S. Cellular, Dental Dimensions, Guerilla Graffix and the Illinois Pork Producers. Before the game on Saturday there is a fan festival from 1-4 p.m. where fans can enjoy music, food and entertainment.
