SAGINAW, MI - On Friday night, the Saginaw Spirit (24-34-5-3, 8th Western Conference) welcomes the Windsor Spitfires (38-21-6-1, 5th Western Conference) to The Dow Event Center for their eighth and final meeting of the season. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
The Spirit are looking to stay hot after they took down the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Wednesday night, by a final score of 5-4. The Spirit swept the Greyhounds in all four games at the Essar Centre, thanks to a late third period goal by Mitchell Stephens and a stellar goaltending performance from Cameron Zanussi, earning his first win as a member of the Saginaw Spirit. Stephens' two-point effort extended his point streak to a Spirit season-long nine games.
The Spits knocked off the Kitchener Rangers Thursday night in a first-round playoff preview by a final score of 6-4. Logan Brown led the way with a four-point effort helping Windsor to their 38th win of the season. The Spitfires a 6-3-0-1 in their last 10 games and have secured the fifth spot in the Western Conference playoff picture.

The Spirit and the Spitfires meet for the eighth and final time this season tonight at The Dow Event Center. Windsor has won five of the previous seven meetings, but the Spirit have won two of three games at The Dow against the Spitfires.
