Preview: Spirit Battle Knights on Hockey for the Homeless Night

SAGINAW, MI. - On Saturday night, the Saginaw Spirit (23-33-5-3, 8th Western Conference) play host to the London Knights (48-13-2-1, 3rd Western Conference) on Hockey for the Homeless Night at The Dow Event Center.

The Spirit are coming off of a close road loss to the Sarnia Sting, as the two West Division opponents battled to the end in a 4-3 overtime decision. Mitchell Stephens and Tye Felhaber led the way for the Spirit, each picking up multi-point performances and extending their points streaks to seven and six, respectively. The goaltending spotlight was on Cameron Zanussi Friday night as he made 34 saves against the Sting.

The Knights are fighting tooth and nail with the Erie Otters, with both teams sitting at the top of the OHL standings with 99 points. Friday night, London took down Sault Ste. Marie by a score of 2-1, as Arizona Coyotes prospect Christian Dvorak and Michigan native Max Jones lifted the Knights over the Greyhounds. Dvorak leads the Knights the season and currently sits in second place in the league behind Barrie's Kevin Labanc with 50 goals and 66 assists with a total of 116 points.

The Spirit and London Knights face off for the fourth and final time this season. London leads the season series three games to none.
