Coming In
The Oil Kings are coming off of a 7-4 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday night, their 2nd consecutive on the road and 6th loss to Medicine Hat in their final meeting of the regular season.
Edmonton scored first for the 4th consecutive game when Andrej Tomasec buried a centering feed at the goal mouth, tallying in his first game back after missing four. Medicine Hat answered back just over 5 minutes later when a Bogdans Hodass shot found it's way past Oil Kings Goalie Kolby Hay from the point.
The Oil Kings would then tally 3 more times before the end of the opening period, including one for the history books. Twenty year old Defenseman Marc Lajoie let a wrist shot go from the point which found its way past Tigers Goalie Zach Zahara. The goal not only spelled the end of the night for the starter, but etched Lajoie's name in the record books for his 20th of the season. Medicine Hat stormed out in the 2nd period scoring 4 times,
adding 2 more in the 3rd to spoil the record setting night for Lajoie.
