Elliott Shuts Out Wheat Kings In 4-0 Blades' Win

WIN AT WESTOBA:The Saskatoon Blades big three helped return the club to the win column in a 4-0 victory Saturday against the Brandon Wheat Kings at Westoba Place.

Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov scored his team-leading 45th goal of the season and finished the night with three assists alongside it. The Vitebsk, Belarus product has a career-high 78 points (45G, 33A) in 58 games this season.

Toronto Maple Leads draft pick Brandon Lisowsky recorded an assist and a pair of goals, including the game-winner. One of the Blades iron men this season, Lisowsky has 35 goals and 70 points in 60 games, matching his career-high set last year.

Captain Trevor Wong registered his WHL-leading 76th and 77th assists on both of Lisowsky's tallies, giving him 13 goals and 90 points in 60 games. Wong is one point shy of 250 in his WHL career.

Goalie Austin Elliott returned to the win column with a 21-save shutout. The Strathmore, AB product is 26-7-2-1 and has three shutouts on the year.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Blue and Gold, who now sit six points away from clinching first place in the Eastern Conference at 43-12-2-3.

NEXT GAME: The Blades prepare for back-to-back home games next weekend. First is Friday night against the Medicine Hat Tigers and a tilt vs the Edmonton Oil Kings the following night.

Puck drop is 7:00pm for both games.
