Sarnia Sting News Release
For the second week in a row, the Sarnia Sting will play at home on Friday night to kick off a weekend that sees them play 3 times in as many days. First, the Generals are in town on Friday night, and then the team hits the road to take on Hamilton Saturday night, and the Generals back in Oshawa on Sunday night.
The Sting picked up 5 of a possible 6 points last weekend after dropping Friday's contest to the Attack by a score of 5-4 in Overtime. The club has earned points in 9-straight games, and look to continue rolling this weekend.
The Sting remain just 7 points back of Windsor for tops in the West Division, with 3 games in hand on their counterparts. The two clubs still have four games scheduled against each other between now and March 20th.
Friday's contest also marks the Opening Ceremonies for the 47th annual International Silverstick Finals. Prior to puck drop, the Sting will honour the volunteer Silverstick Dignitaries, as well as acknowledge all of the teams visiting Sarnia-Lambton this weekend.
